Steven Gardiner and Shaune Miller collect 400m victories.

Bahamian 400m record holder Steven Gardiner completed a circuit of the Thomas A. Robinson Stadium in Nassau at the Bahamas’ Olympic Trialson Saturday in a time of 44.46. He was unaccompanied and it was 0.79 seconds later that the second placed runner Alonzo Russell arrived in 45.25. The Fireman Chris Brown was third in 45.59.

Gardiner do doubt would have recalled that his 44.98 was not fast enough to make the finals at the 2015 IAAF Bejing World Championships where MachelCedenio secured the last available spot with a time of 44.64.

Meanwhile World Championships silver medallist, Shaunae Miller (52.17) was unhurried in the women’s 400m,.Lanece Clarke took second in 53.28 and Shaquania Dorsett, third in 53.97.
